Our staff and partners are an important part of the success of our business.

Shelly Brown, partner, earned a Ph.D in Sociology from the University of Michigan. While at the University of Michigan, Dr. Brown was trained in quantitative research analyses that included, but not limited to, survey techniques (development, administration, coding, and analysis), multivariate analyses, and multilevel analyses. As an independent consultant, she evaluated a tutoring program in the DC area, and in her postdoctoral posisition at Johns Hopkins University, she participated in the data collection efforts for two nationwide longitudinal evaluation programs.
 

Rolanda Bell, partner, earned a Master's of Arts degree in Educational Psychology from Arizona State University and has spent several years conducting educational research and evaluation. She served as the manager of research and evaluation at a for-profit education organization. There she conducted outcome evaluations for the company’s individualized and group reading/math programs across the country. Ms. Bell also has designed and implemented surveys and developed data collection tools to capture survey data. In addition, Ms. Bell also experience in research design, report writing, and data analysis.

Anthony Garcy has a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).  He has gained professional experience from a number of settings including the Survey Research Laboratory at the UIC, the Bureau of Census, Suitland, Maryland and the Arizona Department of Education.  Additionally, he has proficiency with multivariate and longitudinal data analysis techniques as well as research methods and design.  Dr. Garcy has also served as a consultant to a local Arizona school district and has conducted research on students with disabilities under a grant with the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP).

Robyn Gibson-Bazile earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Dillard University and has eight years of teaching experience in middle school. She worked along side other educators to develop reading assessments that are used parish wide and is a member of the curriculum writing team for her school system. Mrs. Gibson-Bazile also has been trained in LaSIP, an extensive program on the use of the learning cycle method in teaching science in the classroom. She has been a facilitator to other teachers using the learning cycle methods. She also has assisted in aligning the new state science grade level expectations with parish wide benchmarks.
